SIO National Caravan Recieved warm in CUSAT

03 November 2007: SIO National Caravan headed by the national secretary of sio Md Hashmatullah Khan in connection with the 25th annual celebration of founding SIO which started from Thiruvanathapuram heading to Mumbai on its way was received warmly by the students of the Cochin University in the University Campus. The students greeted the Rally with a demonstration organized by the unit. The Rally also included a Street Drama Group which played a Drama showing light to various educational issues in the State. The Rally leaders addressed the Students gathered in the campus. The National Secretary Md Hashmatullah Khan inaugurated the public gathering of students in the campus. Later SIO State President Br. C Dawood addressed the students. He said Ragging and political ragging by SFI was the greatest threat faced by students of Kerala. He demanded the culprits of Siberia Ragging case in CUSAT, who were sfi leaders should not be allowed to escape using political strength. Later the National secretary of SIO Md Hashmatullah Khan raised the SIO flag in the campus flag post of sio.

SIO Observes flag day in CUSAT

SIO CUSAT unit had observed flag day today in university campus too as it was advocated by the SIO Kerala state committee to observe sio flag day in campuses across the state. SIO cusat unit placed its flag post in the ICH junction in the university campus. The unit president raised the sio flag at 10:00 am when the sio members shouted slogans of "Inquilab Zindabad" and "SIO Zindabad" and other slogans of sio. Later the students took the flag day oath of sio as advocated by the sio Kerala state committee. The unit president dictated the Oath and students repeated it.SIO Ernakulam District president addressed the students after the Oath. He said the first and foremost preference of sio in cusat will be to make a democratic campus and to struggle against the fascist politics of SFI.
