Academic council election:Encouraging welcome for SiO

SiO in its first ever appearance in an election in Cochin university of science and technology was received with a warm welcome by the students of the university with near 2000 votes where the elected candidate had got near 7500 votes. SiO and SFi were the only organizations which had contested in the election. SiO unit committee thanked and saluted the students of cochin university for this high no. of votes given for sio in its first appearance. SIO CUSAT unit committee stated that this encouraging welcome for sio from students, in spite of the fact that SFi had threatened students especially in school of engineering against them voting for sio and also a lot of malpractices were done by sfi during the polling, is a sign that the students find a new hope in sio and are tired up of the present day Hippocratic student politics. It is also a declaration of the students that the Lies spread by sfi against sio are ignored with contempt by the students. SIO had expressed its hope that in this rate of progress for sio in cusat sio will win in all coming elections.
